I don’t want to be annoying, but I ask that the yyh discord server be changed from 18+. I am under 18 and I don’t want to lose touch with mutuals or the fandom if tumblr shuts down. I know that you guys like to talk about stuff that’s very sexual in nature sometimes, but please take a moment to consider us younger fans. It would mean a lot to me if you did.

Hi, I understand your concern. But the server is mostly filled with NSFW content. The point of it is that we can be free to say and post whatever we will. 

There is nowhere in this server that is “safe” for minors. There is simply no way around this.

Now, what I can do is make a new server that is open to all, regardless of age, and simply have a strict no-nsfw policy on it, so that underage fans have somewhere to hang out and chat. 

Would that option be popular? Are there many fans under 18 who’d like a safe YYH server to chat in?

I’d also like to point out that now tumblr is safe for minors. It’s just us olds getting kicked out. But, there are other fans who might be 18+ who also would prefer a “clean” server, so please let me know if that is something you’d like.

Prompt: Mukuro and “(Breaking) Free”

Custom ink illustration for the first winner of my YYH custom art giveaway, @t-o-f-u-b-o-t! I was so excited to get to draw Mukuro; I think she’s such a badass character. This illustration includes breaking of her shackles, a symbol of imprisonment that the anime plays up in her fight against Hiei in the Makai Tournament, but for me personally, that was superfluous. Mukuro’s act of breaking free was what she did to her own body, and one of the lines I find most compelling is when she says that it’s her favourite part of herself. I blabbed more about Mukuro in this old post. 

This piece was done in glass dip pen and waterbrush with Diamine Night Sky and PenBBS June Pearl. Both inks have silver flakes in them so in person the piece has a subtle shimmer. I like these inks a lot because despite being glittery, they are both nuanced and very darkly pretty.
