Honestly though Hiei has such respect for Kurama’s skills in battle. Like just his ability to figure shit out and keep going.
And I don’t mean him being a fanboy…even though he’s definetly a fanboy
But I’ve noticed Hiei always seems to be one of the last people who starts worrying about Kurama.
Like he’s still fixated on Kurama and aware that the situation is difficult but he seems fairly calm

Ok but lets relate it back to Kurama.
It’s not like Hiei has no other focuses but when Kurama is in the spotlight he gets kinda more fixated on Kurama and has more commentary to offer than he does for the other members. Or maybe I’m shipping trash and notices it more when its about these two.
This is when Kurama has his magic bound and is fighting with Touya. It’s a sticky situation but Hiei isn’t panicked.
Even when Kurama starts getting hurt and others start panicking you don’t see a reaction of Hiei panicking.
Not till Touya goes for the finishing move
And Kurama is still cut off from his powers.
It’s not like he doesn’t care he was willing to fight the whole stadium for Kurama.
But maybe he has a little too much faith.
After the fight with Genbu he’s like
You saw him get hurt he’s not a full demon you are so anal about figuring out his skills. How could you not tell that he got hurt this bad?
I mean a part of it is Kurama does walk of alot of shit and push his limits.
He was somehow completely fine after this casually chilling. No one even bothered to call the ambulance.
“ Are you ok Kurama?”
No hes not ok ! He has a hole in his stomach! Are half demons now immune to blood loss
Seriously I swear actual full demons die from lesser injuries.
But at any rate because of this and because of the high regard he has for Kurama’s skills, he has I think a level of blind faith in Kurama that the others dont.
But when Kurama pulls shit like this
I can’t really blame him for having that mentality.
That was pretty bad ass and it super impressive that he was able to pull this off.
